KEBYART: a 2025/26 season marked by artistic expansion

The 2025/26 season promises to be one of the most intense and exciting in Kebyart's history. With more than 50 concerts throughout Europe, the saxophone quartet faces a year marked by international exposure, contemporary creation, and the consolidation of its artistic identity at some of the continent's most important venues and festivals.

More than 50 concerts throughout Europe

Throughout the season, Kebyart will take its music to a wide range of European cities, including Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Brussels, Grafenegg, Frankfurt, Seville, Basel, and Valencia, among many others. This intense activity reflects the group's sustained growth and its ability to connect with diverse audiences through programs that span eras, styles, and formats.

From chamber recitals to large symphonic stages, each concert is part of a coherent artistic project, committed to interpretive excellence and the constant exploration of new repertoires.

Two key artist residencies

The season will be marked by two important artist residencies, which will allow Kebyart to delve deeper into its creative work and dialogue with the public:

  • The Palau de la Música Catalana, one of Europe's most iconic venues, will be a central location for the development of new programs and artistic proposals.

  • Bodensee Festival, where Kebyart will act as Ensemble in Residence, performing an intense concert schedule and participating in collaborative projects in the Lake Constance region.

Both residences offer a privileged setting for experimentation, the creation of long-term relationships, and the presentation of large-scale projects.

Premieres and contemporary creation

One of the season's major highlights will be the world premiere of Georg Friedrich Haas' Second Saxophone Quartet, a new work by one of the most influential composers in contemporary music today. The premiere will take place on March 23, 2026, in Auditorium 400 of the Reina Sofía Museum (Madrid), in a very special concert that will be attended by the composer himself.

This premiere reinforces Kebyart's commitment to creating new repertoire for its ensemble and to maintaining a direct and deep relationship with the composers of our time.

Orchestras and collaborations

The 2025–2026 season also highlights Kebyart's collaborative spirit and its interest in expanding the saxophone quartet format to new artistic dialogues. The group will perform as soloists alongside orchestras and share the stage with renowned international musicians, enriching their sound universe from a wide variety of perspectives.

This season's collaborators include cellist Nicolas Altstaedt, clarinetist Pablo Barragán, pianist Albert Cano, countertenor Xavier Sabata, and clarinetist Reto Bieri. Together with them, Kebyart explores repertoires ranging from contemporary and symphonic music to chamber programs and hybrid proposals that combine voice, tradition, and current creation.

These collaborations reflect the quartet's artistic openness and its ability to integrate into varied musical contexts, while always maintaining a clear and recognizable identity.

A season for sharing

With a schedule that combines major cultural capitals, international festivals, and unique venues, the 2025/26 season confirms Kebyart as one of the most active and innovative groups on the current European music scene.
